In 2023, Donkumentary was created as a short film with the support of UC Riverside’s Gluck Fellowship for the Arts. A collaboration with cinematographer Max Calzada, the first cut of Donkumentary was an 18-minute all ages, educational film.

Kelsey is now in pursuit of developing the project further into feature length documentary, with producer Joshua Perline from Quiet Hours.

The film profiles the feral donkey herds of the inland empire.
